Well, aside from not being able to test this from my Mac, Google has released (in Beta of course) Google Pages easy Web Page Creator.

Update: I am able to use this via Firefox after an update. Thanks to those at MDN and here for the information.

I am interested to see how this will pan out and how it will be used. It does remind me of the late 90’s and Geocities (obviously higher quality though). Though part of me is saying “It’s about time” there is another part wondering about the big picture. They already have Blogger which is a very powerful tool — will this get more use than Blogger? Sure, the ease of creating a site is nice — but it doesn’t seem to have the power that is behind Blogger.

I’m seeing more features being added down the road: RSS integration, Google Talk portlet, Google Mail portlet, Google Maps Portlet, Google {insert word here} portlet…

Anyway, as much as I hate the thought…I’ll go get on a PC and check it out.

    RE: Khalid,

I have had several others tell me the same - so I did some more checking around. I actually had not updated Firefox on the machine I was using. I have it working fine for me now!

    Thanks for the info!

    RE: Constantin
I am not sure. The address is pages.google.com. If you need an invite to gmail let me know, I have plenty to give.

    Peace,
    Nate
