Developing for Accessibility
I think that many developers get so excited with new technologies that they forget about accessibility and usability. This has been discussed in many forms and fashions over the past decade. There has always been the debate of “form versus function” and which one takes precedence.
I have recently read articles about designing for television and several others about development on different devices such as PSP and cell phones. Devices such as these handle display in a much different way, and some of the technologies that we use for web is not directly accessible to them. Does this mean we eliminate them? Does this mean that we build two separate sites?
This is also where the importance of web standards comes into place. What are you doing to plan for the future?
